Two minor Bhil girls raped by two youths in Jhalawar

Kota: Two minor girls, belonging to Bhil community, were raped by two youths in Jhalawar district on Sunday. The mother of one of the girls lodged a rape case against the youths in Mahila police station on Tuesday evening. Both the accused are still at large.

According to SHO of Mahila Police station Kamal Chand Meena, both the rape survivors are daily labourers and the two accused belong to Jhalrapatan town of Jhalawar. The girls were working along with the youths at a construction site, he said.

Meena said, one of the two youths on Sunday noon took both the girls with him on motorbike to a deserted place at Growth Centre in industrial area on outskirts of Jhalrapatan town where the other accused, his friend, was already present. Both the youths raped the girls there. The youths later took the girls to a local fair at Jhalrapatan town and later dropped the girls at their residences, he said.

Next morning, the girls narrated the incident to their mothers. They spent the entire day in inquiry and discussion among their relatives. Later, mother of one of the victims approached police and filed a case against the two youths.

The youths have been identified as Sonu Raiger and Vishnu Raigar. They have been booked under Section 376 of IPC and Section of POCSO Act.

Meena said, medical examination of survivors was carried out and application for the victims’ statements under section 164 before the magistrate would be submitted to the court, the SHO said.
