American tourist quizzed for carrying satellite phone at Udaipur airport

satellite-phoneUdaipur : The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) detained an American citizen on Tuesday  at Udaipur airport for carrying a satellite phone, banned in India. He was taken to the Dabok police station for interrogation and later released. Robert Foreman was about to board a flight to Mumbai on Tuesday noon but the CISF officials caught him with a satellite phone.

Cops took him to Dabok police station where his documents were verified. Later it was known that  he was a tourist who had been in Udaipur for two days. Robert told the cops that he happened to carry the phone mistakenlywith him in his luggage and that he hadn’t used it since his arrival in India. Police verified  the call records and found his claims to be true. Later the tourist was allowed to leave while the cops are trying to get more details from the satellite communication service provider.
